قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ أَخْبَرَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَلَمْ تَرَيْ أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حِينَ بَنَوْا الْكَعْبَةَ اقْتَصَرُوا عَنْ قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَا تَرُدُّهَا عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْلَا حِدْثَانُ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ قَالَ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ لَئِنْ كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ سَمِعَتْ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أُرَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَرَكَ اسْتِلَامَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ يَلِيَانِ الْحِجْرَ إِلَّا أَنَّ الْبَيْتَ لَمْ يَتِمَّ عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
He said: I read to Abd al-Rahman: Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Salim ibn Abdullah: that Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr al-Siddiq informed Abdullah ibn Umar, from Aisha: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Do you not see that your people, when they built the Ka'bah, fell short of the foundations of Abraham, peace be upon him?" She said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, will you not restore it to the foundations of Abraham, peace be upon him?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Were it not that your people are so recently removed from disbelief..." He said: Abdullah ibn Umar then said, "If Aisha indeed heard this from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, I do not think the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, left off touching the two corners adjoining the Hijr except because the House had not been completed upon the foundations of Abraham, peace be upon him."
