حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَتْ امْرَأَةٌ مَخْزُومِيَّةٌ تَسْتَعِيرُ الْمَتَاعَ وَتَجْحَدُهُ فَأَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَطْعِ يَدِهَا فَأَتَى أَهْلُهَا أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ فَكَلَّمُوهُ فَكَلَّمَ أُسَامَةُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا أُسَامَةُ لَا أَرَاكَ تُكَلِّمُنِي فِي حَدٍّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ثُمَّ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ إِنَّمَا هَلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ بِأَنَّهُ إِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمْ الشَّرِيفُ تَرَكُوهُ وَإِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمْ الضَّعِيفُ قَطَعُوهُ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ كَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ مُحَمَّدٍ لَقَطَعْتُ يَدَهَا فَقَطَعَ يَدَ الْمَخْزُومِيَّةِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Ma'mar narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Urwah, from Aisha, who said: There was a Makhzumi woman who used to borrow goods and then deny having them, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered that her hand be cut off. Her family went to Usamah ibn Zayd and spoke to him, and Usamah spoke to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about her. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to him: O Usamah, I do not see you speaking to me concerning one of the set punishments of Allah, Mighty and Sublime! Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up and delivered a sermon, saying: Those before you were destroyed only because when a noble person among them stole, they left him alone, but when a weak person among them stole, they cut off his hand. By the One in whose hand is my soul, if Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad, were to steal, I would cut off her hand. Then he had the hand of the Makhzumi woman cut off.
