Hammad narrated to us: Hisham informed us, from his father, from Aisha, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was never given the choice between two matters, one of them easier than the other, but he chose the easier of the two, so long as it was not a sin; but if it was a sin, he was the furthest of people from it. Sufyan ibn Uyaynah narrated to us: Uthman ibn Urwah narrated to me, from Urwah, from Aisha, similarly. Sufyan said: He -- meaning Uthman ibn Urwah -- said to me: Hisham relates it on my authority.
