حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ حَدَّثَتْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْقُدَ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ يَرْقُدُ.

Affan told us: Hammam told us: Yahya ibn Abi Kathir told us that Abu Salama told him that Aisha told him that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, whenever he wanted to sleep, would perform ablution as for prayer, then sleep.
