قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ وَثَابِتٌ عَنْ سُمَيَّةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَدَ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَيٍّ فِي شَيْءٍ فَقَالَتْ صَفِيَّةُ يَا عَائِشَةُ أَرْضِي عَنِّي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَكِ يَوْمِي فَقَالَتْ نَعَمْ فَأَخَذَتْ خِمَارًا لَهَا مَصْبُوغًا بِزَعْفَرَانٍ فَرَشَّتْهُ بِالْمَاءِ لِيَفُوحَ رِيحُهُ فَقَعَدَتْ إِلَى جَنْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْكِ يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ يَوْمَكِ قَالَتْ ذَلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَأَخْبَرَتْهُ بِالْأَمْرِ فَرَضِيَ عَنْهَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Affan told us, Hammad told us, saying Layth and Thabit informed us, from Sumayyah, from Aisha, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was upset with Safiyyah bint Huyayy over something. So Safiyyah said: O Aisha, please appease the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on my behalf, and you may have my turn. She said: Yes. So she took a headscarf of hers dyed with saffron and sprinkled it with water so its scent would spread, then sat beside the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Move away, O Aisha, for it is not your day. She said: That is Allah's bounty, He gives it to whom He wills, and she told him of the matter, so he became pleased with Safiyyah.
