حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ لَمَّا جَاءَ نَعْيُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ جَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُعْرَفُ فِي وَجْهِهِ الْحُزْنُ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ وَأَنَا أَطَّلِعُ مِنْ شَقِّ الْبَابِ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ نِسَاءَ جَعْفَرٍ فَذَكَرَ مِنْ بُكَائِهِنَّ فَأَمَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَنْهَاهُنَّ فَذَهَبَ الرَّجُلُ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقَالَ قَدْ نَهَيْتُهُنَّ وَإِنَّهُنَّ لَمْ يُطِعْنَهُ حَتَّى كَانَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ فَزَعَمْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ احْثُوا فِي وُجُوهِهِنَّ التُّرَابَ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ قُلْتُ أَرْغَمَ اللَّهُ بِأَنْفِكَ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَنْتَ بِفَاعِلٍ مَا قَالَ لَكَ وَلَا تَرَكْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Aisha narrated: "When the news of the death of Ja'far ibn Abi Talib, Zayd ibn Harithah, and Abdullah ibn Rawahah came, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sat and grief could be seen on his face. Aisha said: I was looking through the crack of the door. A man came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the women of Ja'far...' and mentioned their weeping. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) ordered him to forbid them. The man went and came back saying he had forbidden them but they would not obey. This happened until the third time, when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Throw dust in their faces.' Aisha said: 'I said: May Allah humiliate you! By Allah, you are not going to do what he told you, nor have you left the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) in peace.'"
