Amra said: "Aisha fell ill and her illness lasted long. A man who practiced medicine came to Madinah, and her nephews went to ask him about her ailment. He said: 'By Allah, you are describing the symptoms of a woman who has been bewitched.' He said: 'This woman has been bewitched by a slave girl of hers.' She (the slave girl) said: 'Yes, I wanted you to die so that I would be freed.' She was a mudbbarah (a slave promised freedom upon the death of her owner). Aisha said: 'Sell her to the harshest of Arab masters, and use her price to buy another one like her.'"
