حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ دَاوُدَ وَرِبْعِيِّ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكْثِرُ فِي آخِرِ أَمْرِهِ مِنْ قَوْلِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا لِي أَرَاكَ تُكْثِرُ مِنْ قَوْلِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ إِنَّ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَانَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي سَأَرَى عَلَامَةً فِي أُمَّتِي وَأَمَرَنِي إِذَا رَأَيْتُهَا أَنْ أُسَبِّحَ بِحَمْدِهِ وَأَسْتَغْفِرَهُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهَا { إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللَّهِ وَالْفَتْحُ وَرَأَيْتَ النَّاسَ يَدْخُلُونَ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ أَفْوَاجًا فَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ وَاسْتَغْفِرْهُ إِنَّهُ كَانَ تَوَّابًا }.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad b. Adi told us, from Dawud and Rib'i b. Ibrahim, who said: Dawud told us, from al-Sha'bi, from Masruq, who said: Aishah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say frequently, toward the end of his life, "Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him; I seek Allah's forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance." She said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, why do I see you saying so often, 'Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him; I seek Allah's forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance'?" He said, "Indeed my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, informed me that I would see a sign in my Ummah, and commanded me, when I saw it, to glorify Him with praise and seek His forgiveness, for He is ever Accepting of repentance. And I have indeed seen it: 'When the victory of Allah has come, and the conquest, and you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes, then glorify the praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him; indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.'"
