Ishaq — that is, al-Azraq — and Yahya b. Sa'id told us; Ishaq said: Husayn b. al-Muktib told us, from Budayl, from Abu al-Jawza', from Aishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to open the prayer with the takbir and recitation of "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds" (Surat al-Fatihah); and when he bowed, he would not raise his head — Yahya said: he would extend his head level, not lowering it, but keeping it in between; and when he raised his head from bowing, he would not prostrate until he stood fully upright, and when he raised his head from prostration, he would not prostrate again until he sat fully upright. She said: He used to say the greeting to Allah after every two rak'ahs, and he used to forbid sitting back on the heels like the devil's way. He used to spread his left foot flat and set up his right foot, and he used to forbid one of us from spreading his forearms on the ground in prostration like a dog. He used to conclude the prayer with the salutation of peace. Yahya said: He disliked spreading the forearms in the manner of a predatory beast. Muhammad b. Ja'far told us: Husayn al-Mu'allim told us, from Budayl, from Abu al-Jawza', from Aishah, that she said the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) — and he mentioned the like of it, saying "he would extend his head level" and saying "the spreading of a predatory beast."
