حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنِ الْجُلَاحِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حَنَشٌ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ نُبَايِعُ الْيَهُودَ الْأُوقِيَّةَ الذَّهَبَ بِالدِّينَارَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَبِيعُوا الذَّهَبَ بِالذَّهَبِ إِلَّا وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ.

Qutaybah bin Sa'id narrated to us, who said: Layth bin Sa'd narrated to us, from Ubaydullah bin Abi Ja'far, from al-Julah Abu Kathir, who said: Hanash as-San'ani narrated to me, from Fadalah bin Ubayd, who said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on the day of Khaybar, trading with the Jews an ounce of gold for two or three dinars. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Do not sell gold for gold except weight for weight.
