Ali ibn Abdullah narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Fudayl ibn Ghazwan narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Sa'd al-Ansari narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu Zabya al-Kala'i say: I heard al-Miqdad ibn al-Aswad say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his companions: "What do you say about adultery?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger have forbidden it, so it is forbidden until the Day of Resurrection." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to his companions: "For a man to commit adultery with ten women is easier for him than that he commit adultery with the wife of his neighbor." He said, "What do you say about theft?" They said, "Allah and His Messenger have forbidden it, so it is forbidden." He said, "For a man to steal from ten houses is easier for him than that he steal from his neighbor."
