حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ قَالَ اخْتَلَفَتْ سُيُوفُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى الْيَمَانِ أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَلَا يَعْرِفُونَهُ فَقَتَلُوهُ فَأَرَادَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَدِيَهُ فَتَصَدَّقَ حُذَيْفَةُ بِدِيَتِهِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It was narrated from Mahmud b. Labid: he said, "The swords of the Muslims struck al-Yaman, the father of Abu Hudhayfah, on the day of Uhud without recognizing him, and they killed him. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, wished to pay blood-money for him, but Hudhayfah gave his blood-money as charity to the Muslims."
