قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَجَدْتُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي بِخَطِّهِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ الشِّرْكُ الْأَصْغَرُ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الشِّرْكُ الْأَصْغَرُ قَالَ الرِّيَاءُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَقُولُ يَوْمَ تُجَازَى الْعِبَادُ بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ اذْهَبُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ كُنْتُمْ تُرَاءُونَ بِأَعْمَالِكُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا فَانْظُرُوا هَلْ تَجِدُونَ عِنْدَهُمْ جَزَاءً.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abdullah said: I found this hadith in my father's book in his own handwriting. It was narrated from Mahmud b. Labid: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The thing I fear most for you is minor shirk." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is minor shirk?" He said, "Showing off. Indeed Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will say on the day the servants are recompensed for their deeds, 'Go to those for whom you used to show off with your deeds in this world, and see whether you find any reward with them.'"
