حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد وَسَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدَّقَ أُمَيَّةَ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ شِعْرِهِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ وَثَوْرٌ تَحْتَ رِجْلِ يَمِينِهِ وَالنَّسْرُ لِلْأُخْرَى وَلَيْثٌ مُرْصَدُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدَقَ وَقَالَ وَالشَّمْسُ تَطْلُعُ كُلَّ آخِرِ لَيْلَةٍ حَمْرَاءَ يُصْبِحُ لَوْنُهَا يَتَوَرَّدُ تَأْبَى فَمَا تَطْلُعْ لَنَا فِي رِسْلِهَا إِلَّا مُعَذَّبَةً وَإِلَّا تُجْلَدُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدَقَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
The Prophet (peace be upon him) confirmed Umayyah (ibn Abi al-Salt) in some of his poetry. He recited: 'A man, and a bull beneath his right foot, and an eagle for the other, and a lion lying in wait.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'He spoke the truth.' And he recited: 'And the sun rises at the end of every night, red, its color flushing. It refuses, and it does not rise for us at its ease except in torment, or else it is lashed.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'He spoke the truth.'
