الترجمة الإنجليزية
Uthman ibn Umar told us, Malik informed us, from Sumayy, from Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Harith, from a man among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, fasted during his journey in the year of the Conquest, and ordered his companions to break their fast, saying, "You will meet your enemy, so gain strength." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, the people have fasted following your fasting." When he reached al-Kadid, he broke his fast. The one who told me this said: I indeed saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, pouring water on his head from the heat while he was fasting.
