حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ رَجُلٌ خَدَمَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثَمَانِ سِنِينَ أَوْ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قُرِّبَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ يَقُولُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ قَالَ أَطْعَمْتَ وَأَسْقَيْتَ وَأَغْنَيْتَ وَأَقْنَيْتَ وَهَدَيْتَ وَاجْتَبَيْتَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلَى مَا أَعْطَيْتَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Abd al-Rahman told us, Sa'id - meaning Ibn Abi Ayyub - told us, Bakr ibn Amr told me, from Abdullah ibn Hubayrah, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr, that a man who served the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, for eight or nine years told him that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when food was brought near him, say "In the name of Allah," and when he finished his food he would say, "You have fed and given drink, enriched and given possessions, guided and chosen - to You is praise for what You have given."
