حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَابِسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْحِجَامَةِ لِلصَّائِمِ وَالْوِصَالِ فِي الصِّيَامِ إِبْقَاءً عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ لَمْ يُحَرِّمْهُمَا قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ قَالَ إِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدِكُمْ إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' told us: Sufyan told us, from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abis, from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, from one of the Companions of Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, only forbade cupping for the fasting person and forbade continuous fasting (wisal) out of care for his Companions, not because it was forbidden in itself. They said, "O Messenger of Allah, but you fast continuously." He said: I am not like any of you; I spend the night with my Lord feeding me and giving me drink.
