حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ قَالَ كُنَّا بِهَذَا الْمِرْبَدِ بِالْبَصْرَةِ قَالَ فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ مَعَهُ قِطْعَةُ أَدِيمٍ أَوْ قِطْعَةُ جِرَابٍ فَقَالَ هَذَا كِتَابٌ كَتَبَهُ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَقَرَأْتُهُ عَلَى الْقَوْمِ فَإِذَا فِيهِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ هَذَا كِتَابٌ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِبَنِي زُهَيْرِ بْنِ أُقَيْشٍ إِنَّكُمْ إِنْ أَقَمْتُمْ الصَّلَاةَ وَأَدَّيْتُمْ الزَّكَاةَ وَأَعْطَيْتُمْ مِنْ الْمَغَانِمِ الْخُمُسَ وَسَهْمَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالصَّفِيَّ فَأَنْتُمْ آمِنُونَ بِأَمَانِ اللَّهِ وَأَمَانِ رَسُولِهِ قَالَ قُلْنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ صَوْمُ شَهْرِ الصَّبْرِ وَثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ يُذْهِبْنَ وَحَرَ الصَّدْرِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Waki' told us: Qurra told us, from Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn ash-Shikhkhir, who said: We were at this place, al-Mirbad, in Basra. He said: A bedouin came with a piece of leather or a piece of a sack and said, "This is a document the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, wrote for me." Abu al-'Ala' said: I took it and read it to the people, and in it was: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is a document from Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to the Banu Zuhayr ibn Uqaysh: If you establish the prayer, pay the zakat, and give from the spoils the fifth and the Prophet's share and the safiyy (his chosen portion), then you are safe under the protection of Allah and the protection of His Messenger. He said: We said, "What did you hear from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him?" He said: I heard him say: Fasting the month of patience (Ramadan) and three days from every month removes the rancor of the chest.
