حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا عُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ هَدْيًا قَاصِدًا فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يُشَادَّ هَذَا الدِّينَ يَغْلِبْهُ.

Waki' told us: Uyaynah ibn Abd al-Rahman told us, from his father, from Buraydah al-Aslami, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Adopt a moderate, balanced course, for whoever overburdens himself in this religion, it will overcome him.
