حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَسَنٍ الْأَشْقَرُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُدَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ مَرَّ يَهُودِيٌّ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ قَالَ كَيْفَ تَقُولُ يَا أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ يَوْمَ يَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ السَّمَاءَ عَلَى ذِهْ وَأَشَارَ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ وَالْأَرْضَ عَلَى ذِهْ وَالْمَاءَ عَلَى ذِهْ وَالْجِبَالَ عَلَى ذِهْ وَسَائِرَ الْخَلْقِ عَلَى ذِهْ كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يُشِيرُ بِأَصَابِعِهِ قَالَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ }.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
A Jew passed by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) while he was sitting. He said: 'How do you say, O Abu al-Qasim, on the Day when Allah places the heavens on this (finger)' — and he pointed with his index finger — 'and the earth on this, and the water on this, and the mountains on this, and the rest of creation on this,' each time pointing with his fingers. Then Allah the Almighty revealed: 'They have not appraised Allah with true appraisal' (6:91).
