حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ كَانَ رِدْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَدَخَلَ الشِّعْبَ فَنَزَلَ فَأَهْرَاقَ الْمَاءَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَرَكِبَ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ.

Usamah ibn Zayd was the riding companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) on the day of Arafah. He entered a mountain pass, dismounted, relieved himself, performed ablution, then mounted — and did not pray (there).
