الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ishaq ibn Yusuf narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Sulayman, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Ata' al-Makki, from Sulayman ibn Buraydah, from his father, that a woman came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I gave a slave-girl in charity to my mother, and she died, and the slave-girl has come back to me as inheritance.' He said, 'Allah has rewarded you, and returned her to you as inheritance.' She said, 'My mother died without having performed the Hajj — would it suffice for her if I performed Hajj on her behalf?' He said, 'Yes.' She said, 'My mother owed a month's fast — would it suffice for her if I fasted on her behalf?' He said, 'Yes.'
