حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُمَرٍ الوَاسِطِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَ الشُّؤْمُ فَفِي الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالْمَسْكَنِ.

Isma'il ibn 'Umar al-Wasiti narrated to us: Malik narrated to us from Abu Hazim from Sahl ibn Sa'd that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If ill omen were to be in anything, it would be in the woman, the horse, and the dwelling."
