حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ عَنْ سَيَّارٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَضَّلَنِي رَبِّي عَلَى الْأَنْبِيَاءِ عَلَيْهِمْ الصَّلَاةُ وَالسَّلَامُ أَوْ قَالَ عَلَى الْأُمَمِ بِأَرْبَعٍ قَالَ أُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ كَافَّةً وَجُعِلَتْ الْأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا لِي وَلِأُمَّتِي مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا فَأَيْنَمَا أَدْرَكَتْ رَجُلًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي الصَّلَاةُ فَعِنْدَهُ مَسْجِدُهُ وَعِنْدَهُ طَهُورُهُ وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ يَقْذِفُهُ فِي قُلُوبِ أَعْدَائِي وَأَحَلَّ لَنَا الْغَنَائِمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَيَّارٍ مَوْلًى لِآلِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بِحَدِيثٍ آخَرَ وَيُقَالُ سَيَّارٌ الشَّامِيُّ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn Abi Adi narrated to us, from Sulayman, that is al-Taymi, from Sayyar, from Abu Umamah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'My Lord favored me over the prophets, upon them be peace and blessings,' or he said, 'over the nations, with four things.' He said, 'I was sent to all people; the whole earth was made a place of prayer and a means of purification for me and for my nation, so wherever the prayer overtakes a man of my nation, his place of prayer is at hand and his means of purification is at hand; I was aided with awe, cast into the hearts of my enemies at a distance of a month's journey; and the spoils of war were made lawful for us.' Abdullah narrated to us: Yahya ibn Main narrated to us: Mutamir narrated to us, from his father, from Sayyar, the freed slave of the family of Muawiyah, with another hadith; and he is also called Sayyar al-Shami.
