الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu al-Walid and Affan told us, they said: Ubaydullah ibn Iyad told us: Iyad — namely ibn Laqit — told us, from Layla, wife of Bashir, who said: I wanted to fast two days consecutively without breaking my fast, but Bashir prevented me and said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade that and said: The Christians do that. (Affan said: he said: 'the Christians do that, but rather fast as Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has commanded you, and complete the fast until night; then when night comes, break your fast.')
