Abu al-Nadr told us, Hashraj told us: Sa'id b. Jumhan told me, from Safinah, the mawla of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, addressed us and said: "Indeed there has been no prophet before me but that he warned his nation of the Dajjal (Antichrist). He is one-eyed in his left eye, with a thick film over his right eye, and written between his eyes is 'Kafir' (Disbeliever). Two valleys will come out with him, one being paradise and the other fire — his fire is [really] paradise, and his paradise is [really] fire. With him are two angels resembling two of the prophets — if I wished, I would name them by their names and the names of their fathers — one on his right and the other on his left, and that is a trial. The Dajjal will say: 'Am I not your lord? Do I not give life and cause death?' One of the two angels will say to him: 'You lie' — which no one hears except his companion — and will say to him: 'You have spoken the truth,' which the people hear, so they think he is confirming the Dajjal — and that is a trial. Then he will proceed until he comes to Medina, but he will not be permitted to enter it, so he will say: 'This is the town of that man.' Then he will proceed until he comes to Syria, where Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will destroy him at the pass of Afiq."
