Yahya ibn Sa'id told us, Hisham told us, my father told me, who said: Usamah was asked about the pace of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, during the Farewell Pilgrimage, while I was present. He said: His pace was the steady trot, and when he found an open space he would go faster, and that faster pace is above the steady trot, and I was riding behind him.
