حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ أَتَى رَجُلٌ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ امْرَأَتِي بِنْتُ عَمِّي وَأَنَا أُحِبُّهَا وَإِنَّ وَالِدَتِي تَأْمُرُنِي أَنْ أُطَلِّقَهَا فَقَالَ لَا آمُرُكَ أَنْ تُطَلِّقَهَا وَلَا آمُرُكَ أَنْ تَعْصِيَ وَالِدَتَكَ وَلَكِنْ أُحَدِّثُكَ حَدِيثًا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْوَالِدَةَ أَوْسَطُ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ فَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَمْسِكْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَدَعْ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Husayn ibn Muhammad told us: Sharik told us, from Ata, from Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Sulami, who said: A man came to Abu al-Darda and said: 'My wife is my cousin, and I love her, but my mother orders me to divorce her.' He said: 'I will not order you to divorce her, nor will I order you to disobey your mother. But I will narrate to you a hadith I heard from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Indeed the mother is the middle of the gates of Paradise." So if you wish, keep her, and if you wish, leave her.'
