Zayd ibn Yahya al-Dimashqi told us: Khalid ibn Subayh al-Murri, judge of al-Balqa, told us: Isma'il ibn Ubaydullah told us, that he heard Umm al-Darda narrating from Abu al-Darda, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: 'Allah has finished, for every servant, five matters: his term of life, his provision, his traces, and whether he is wretched or blessed.'
