حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَبُوهُ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ سَبَقَنَا أَصْحَابُ الْأَمْوَالِ وَالدُّثُورِ سَبْقًا بَيِّنًا يُصَلُّونَ وَيَصُومُونَ كَمَا نُصَلِّي وَنَصُومُ وَعِنْدَهُمْ أَمْوَالٌ يَتَصَدَّقُونَ بِهَا وَلَيْسَتْ عِنْدَنَا أَمْوَالٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِعَمَلٍ إِنْ أَخَذْتَ بِهِ أَدْرَكْتَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكَ وَفُتَّ مَنْ يَكُونُ بَعْدَكَ إِلَّا أَحَدًا أَخَذَ بِمِثْلِ عَمَلِكَ تُسَبِّحُ خِلَافَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَتَحْمَدُ ثَلَاثًا وَثَلَاثِينَ وَتُكَبِّرُ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ.

Abd Allah ibn al-Harith told us, from Umar ibn Sa'id, from Bishr ibn Asim, from Asim, who said: Abd Allah ibn al-Harith said - his father - from Abu Dharr, who said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, the people of wealth and riches have surpassed us clearly - they pray and fast as we pray and fast, but they have wealth with which they give charity, and we have no wealth. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Shall I not inform you of a deed which, if you take hold of it, you will overtake those who came before you and outstrip those who come after you - except one who takes up the like of your deed: you glorify Allah after every prayer thirty-three times, and praise Him thirty-three times, and magnify Him thirty-four times."
