Affan told us: Abu Awanah told us, from Sulayman al-A'mash, from Ibrahim al-Taymi, from his father, who said: I would recite to him and he would recite to me in the street, and he would pass by a verse of prostration and prostrate. I said: Do you prostrate in the street? He said: Yes. I heard Abu Dharr say: I asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him - I said: O Messenger of Allah, which mosque was placed on earth first? He said: "The Sacred Mosque." I said: Then which? He said: "Then the Farthest Mosque (al-Aqsa)." I said: How long between them? He said: "Forty years." He said: "Then wherever the time of prayer overtakes you, pray, for it is a mosque (a place of prayer)." And Abu Awanah said: "I would read to him and he would read to me."
