حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ الْيَامِيِّ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْوَتْرِ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَزَّازُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ الْبَصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.

Abdullah told us, Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shayba told me, Muhammad ibn Abi Ubayda told us, my father told us, from al-A'mash, from Talha al-Yami, from Dharr, from Ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from his father, from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite in the Witr prayer "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High," and "Say, O disbelievers," and "Say, He is Allah, One," and when he had finished with the salutation, he would say: "Glory be to the Sovereign, the Most Holy," three times.
