حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ أَبُو يَحْيَى الْبَزَّازُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ قَيْسٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أُبَيٍّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا ذَكَرَ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ بَدَأَ بِنَفْسِهِ فَقَالَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى هُودٍ وَعَلَى صَالِحٍ.

Muhammad ibn Abd al-Rahim Abu Yahya al-Bazzaz told me, Abu al-Walid Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik told us — Qays said: told us — from Abu Ishaq, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, from Ubayy: that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, when he mentioned the prophets, would begin with himself, and he said: "The mercy of Allah be upon us and upon Hud and upon Salih."
