حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ وَنَحْوَهُمَا مِنْ السُّورِ.

Bahz told us, Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from Simak, from Jabir ibn Samurah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite in the noon and afternoon prayers "By the heaven and the night-comer" and "By the heaven holding constellations" and similar chapters.
