Isma'il ibn Ibrahim narrated to us from Ibn Awn, from al-Sha'bi, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: I was with my father, or my son - he said - and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was mentioned, and he said: "This matter will continue to be mighty and protected; they will be granted victory over whoever opposes them regarding it, until twelve caliphs." Then he spoke a word that the people's noise drowned out for me, so I said to my father, or my son, "What was the word that the people's noise drowned out for me?" He said: "All of them are from Quraysh."
