حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أُهْدِيَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ أَصَابَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ بَعَثَ بِفَضْلِهِ إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَأُهْدِيَ لَهُ طَعَامٌ فِيهِ ثُومٌ فَبَعَثَ بِهِ إِلَى أَبِي أَيُّوبَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَلَمْ يَنَلْ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَلَمْ يَرَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ أَثَرَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَأَتَى بِهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي إِنَّمَا تَرَكْتُهُ مِنْ أَجَلِ رِيحِهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ وَأَنَا أَكْرَهُ مَا تَكْرَهُ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Jabir ibn Samurah said: When food was gifted to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), he would eat some and send the rest to Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him). Once food containing garlic was gifted to him. He sent it to Abu Ayyub without eating any of it. Abu Ayyub did not see the mark of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in it, so he came to him. The Prophet said: 'There is garlic in it, and I am a man who converses with someone you do not converse with (i.e., the angel).' Abu Ayyub said: 'Then I too dislike what you dislike.'
