حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ وَرَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ وَقَالَ رَوْحٌ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ قَالَ أَبِي و حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثٍ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَهُوَ أَيْضَا يُكَنَّى أَبَا حَاتِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ شَهْرَا عِيدٍ لَا يَنْقُصَانِ رَمَضَانُ وَذُو الْحِجَّةِ.

Yazid ibn Harun told us, Hammad ibn Salamah and Rawh informed us - Hammad ibn Salamah told us from Salim Abu Hatim, and Rawh said from Salim Abu Ubaydillah ibn Salim; my father said: and Affan told us in a hadith he mentioned, from Hammad, from Salim Abu Ubaydillah, who is also known by the kunyah Abu Hatim - from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "The two months of Eid do not decrease: Ramadan and Dhul-Hijjah."
