حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُمْ ذَكَرُوا رَجُلًا عِنْدَهُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَفْضَلُ مِنْهُ فِي كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيْحَكَ قَطَعْتَ عُنُقَ صَاحِبِكَ مِرَارًا يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ مَادِحًا أَخَاهُ لَا مَحَالَةَ فَلْيَقُلْ أَحْسَبُ فُلَانًا إِنْ كَانَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ كَذَاكَ وَلَا أُزَكِّي عَلَى اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَحَدًا وَحَسِيبُهُ اللَّهُ أَحْسَبُهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad b. Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'ba narrated to us, from Khalid al-Hadhdha', from 'Abd al-Rahman b. Abi Bakra, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that a man was mentioned in his presence, and a man said: "O Messenger of God, there is no man after the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, better than him in such-and-such." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Woe to you! You have cut off your companion's neck" — repeating it several times. The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If any of you must praise his brother, let him say: 'I consider so-and-so to be such, if he thinks that he is truly so, and I do not attest to anyone's purity before God, Blessed and Exalted; his reckoning is with God — I consider him to be such and such.'"
