حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَوْ عَمَّهَ قَامَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ جِيرَانِي بِمَ أُخِذُوا فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَخْبِرْنِي بِمَ أُخِذُوا فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لَئِنْ قُلْتُ ذَاكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّكَ تَنْهَى عَنْ الْغَيِّ وَتَسْتَخْلِي بِهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا قَالَ فَقَامَ أَخُوهُ أَوْ ابْنُ أَخِيهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ قُلْتُمُوهَا أَوْ قَائِلُكُمْ وَلَئِنْ كُنْتُ أَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ إِنَّهُ لَعَلَيَّ وَمَا هُوَ عَلَيْكُمْ خَلُّوا لَهُ عَنْ جِيرَانِهِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Isma'il told us, Bahz ibn Hakim informed us, from his father, from his grandfather, that his father or his uncle stood before the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: "My neighbors, for what were they seized?" He turned away from him. Then he said: "Tell me, for what were they seized?" He turned away from him. He said: "If I say that, they will indeed claim that you forbid wrongdoing while secretly indulging in it." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "What did he say?" So his brother, or his brother's son, stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah, he said such-and-such." He said: "You have indeed said it, or one of you has said it. If I were to do that, it would be against me, and it would not be against you - release his neighbors to him."
