حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ ثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ أُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَأَقْرَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً.

Hashim told us, al-Mubarak told us, from al-Hasan, who said: Imran ibn Husayn told us, saying: A man was brought who had freed six slaves at the time of his death, and he had no property other than them, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, drew lots among them, and freed two and left four in slavery.
