حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الظُّهْرَ فَقَرَأَ رَجُلٌ خَلْفَهُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَالَ أَيُّكُمْ قَرَأَ سَبِّحْ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَنَا قَالَ قَدْ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ خَالَجَنِيهَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زُرَارَةَ بْنَ أَوْفَى يُحَدِّتُ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ.

Yahya ibn Said narrated to us, from Shubah, Qatadah narrated to us; and Ismail ibn Ibrahim informed us, Said narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Zurarah ibn Awfa, from Imran ibn Husayn, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) prayed Dhuhr, and a man behind him recited 'Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High.' When he finished praying, he said: 'Which of you recited "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High"?' A man said: 'I did.' He said: 'I knew that one of you was competing with me in it.' Muhammad ibn Jafar narrated to us, Said narrated to us, from Qatadah, who said: I heard Zurarah ibn Awfa narrating from Imran ibn Husayn, and he mentioned a similar narration.
