حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا عَن بُرَيْدٍ عَن أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَن أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا يُثْنِي عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَيُطْرِيهِ فِي الْمِدْحَةِ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ أَهْلَكْتُمْ أَوْ قَطَعْتُمْ ظَهْرَ الرَّجُلِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah told us - Abdullah said, and I heard it myself from Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah - Isma'il ibn Zakariyya told us, from Buraid, from Abu Burdah, from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, heard a man praising another man and exaggerating in praise of him, so he said, "You have destroyed," or "you have broken the man's back."
