Yahya b. Sa'id told us, from Sufyan: Abu Burda b. Abdullah b. Abi Burda told me, from his grandfather, from Abu Musa al-Ash'ari, who said: When a petitioner or someone in need came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he would say, "Intercede and you will be rewarded, and let Allah, Mighty and Majestic, decree on the tongue of His Messenger what He wills." And he said, "The believer is to the believer like a building, part of it strengthening another." And he said, "The trustworthy keeper who carries out what he is ordered, with a good and willing heart, is one of those who give charity."
