Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us: Zuhayr ibn Mu’awiyah narrated to us: Yazid ibn Yazid ibn Jabir narrated to us, from a man, from Amr ibn Abasah, who said: While the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was reviewing horses, with Uyaynah ibn Hisn ibn Hudhayfah ibn Badr al-Fazari beside him, he said to Uyaynah, "I am more discerning about horses than you." Uyaynah said, "And I am more discerning about men than you." He said, "And how is that?" He said, "The best of men are those who place their swords on their shoulders and set their spears across the withers of their horses, from the people of Najd." He said, "You have lied. The best of men are the men of the people of Yemen, and faith is Yemeni, and I am Yemeni; and the most numerous of the tribes on the Day of Resurrection in Paradise are Madhhij; and Hadramawt is better than Banu al-Harith; and I do not care if the two tribes perish, both of them, for there is no sovereignty and no dominion except for Allah, Mighty and Sublime. Allah’s curse be upon the four kings: Jamda’, Mishrakh, Mikhwas, and Ab’dha’ah, and their sister al-Amarradah."
