حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي عُرْوَةُ الْبَارِقِيُّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ الْأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ.

Abu Nu’aym narrated to us: Zakariyya narrated to us, from al-Sha’bi: Urwah al-Bariqi narrated to me, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Horses have goodness tied in their forelocks until the Day of Resurrection — reward and spoils."
