حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا جِئْنَاهُ قُلْنَا حَدِّثْنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّا قَدْ كَبُرْنَا وَنَسِينَا وَالْحَدِيثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَدِيدٌ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Husayn told us: Shu'bah told us: Amr ibn Murrah informed me, who said: I heard Ibn Abi Layla narrate from Zayd ibn Arqam, who said: Whenever we came to him, we would say: Tell us about the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. He would say: We have grown old and forgotten, and narrating from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, is a grave matter.
