حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْ الْجَرِّ الْأَخْضَرِ يَعْنِي النَّبِيذَ فِي الْجَرِّ الْأَخْضَرِ قَالَ قُلْتُ فَالْأَبْيَضُ قَالَ لَا أَدْرِي.

Abd al-Razzaq told us: Sufyan informed us, from Sulayman al-Shaybani, from Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbid the green jar - meaning the nabidh [fermented drink] made in the green jar. I said, "What about the white one?" He said, "I do not know."
