الترجمة الإنجليزية
Husayn ibn Muhammad told us: Shu'bah told us, from Ibrahim al-Hajari, from Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa - and he was one of the Companions of the Tree. His daughter died, and he was following her funeral bier on a mule behind it. The women began to wail, so he said, "Do not wail laments, for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade wailing laments; let each of you shed as many tears as she wishes." Then he said the takbir four times over her, and after the fourth takbir he stood for as long as the interval between two takbirs, supplicating. Then he said, "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to do this at funerals."
