حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَطَاءٌ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ أَنَّ عَمَّارًا قَالَ قَدِمْتُ عَلَى أَهْلِي لَيْلًا وَقَدْ تَشَقَّقَتْ يَدَايَ فَضَمَّخُونِي بِالزَّعْفَرَانِ فَغَدَوْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُرَحِّبْ بِي فَقَالَ اغْسِلْ هَذَا قَالَ فَذَهَبْتُ فَغَسَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ وَقَدْ بَقِيَ عَلَيَّ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُرَحِّبْ بِي وَقَالَ اغْسِلْ هَذَا عَنْكَ فَذَهَبْتُ فَغَسَلْتُهُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَسَلَّمْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ وَرَحَّبَ بِي وَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا تَحْضُرُ جَنَازَةَ الْكَافِرِ وَلَا الْمُتَضَمِّخَ بِزَعْفَرَانٍ وَلَا الْجُنُبَ وَرَخَّصَ لِلْجُنُبِ إِذَا نَامَ أَوْ أَكَلَ أَوْ شَرِبَ أَنْ يَتَوَضَّأَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Bahz ibn Asad told us: Hammad ibn Salamah told us: Ata' al-Khurasani informed us, from Yahya ibn Ya'mar, that Ammar said: "I came to my family at night, and my hands had become chapped, so they anointed me with saffron. I went in the morning to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and greeted him, but he did not return my greeting nor welcome me, and said: 'Wash this off.'" He said: "So I went and washed it, then came back, but some of it still remained on me, and I greeted him, but he did not return my greeting nor welcome me, and said: 'Wash this off you.' So I went and washed it, then came and greeted him, and he returned my greeting and welcomed me, and said: 'The angels do not attend the funeral of a disbeliever, nor of one smeared with saffron, nor of one in a state of major ritual impurity' - and he granted a concession to the one in that state, if he wished to sleep, eat, or drink, that he perform ablution."
