Waki' told us: Shu'bah told us, from Amr ibn Murrah, who said: I heard Abu al-Bakhtari al-Ta'i narrate, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Yahsubi, from Wa'il ibn Hujr al-Hadrami, that he prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); he would say the takbir when going down and when rising, raise his hands at the takbir, and give the greeting of peace to his right and to his left. Shu'bah said: Aban - meaning Ibn Taghlib - said to me regarding the hadith: "until the brightness of his face appeared" - so I asked Amr: "Is 'until the brightness of his face appeared' part of the hadith?" Amr said: "Or something like that."
